my sweet kayla is growing up. the mention of bra & her in the same sentence is a bit strange for me. my little baby is going to youth group, tonight, for the first time. it's a great chance for her to make new friends & experience new things. it will be a good thing for her. i know that moses & noel will take good care of her. i'm happy that they lead youth, because i know that kayla will be loved by them. she will also learn from them.
i had a little talk w/kayla this morning before leaving to work. i talked to her about youth group & gave her some tips on what to keep in mind while attending. here's the tips i gave her: 1) be kind/loving, 2) be careful in choosing friends, & 3) have lots of fun. i'm excited for her as she gets to experience new things & grow.
the 2nd part of my dichotomous thinking is the one that asks, "where did the time go? that's my baby! hope she'll be okay. the boys better show her respect. " obviously, those are all the dad thoughts that we have. i can't be w/her every second of her life & it's time to once again loosen the grip, as she is moving towards interdependence.
lord, i pray for kayla to enjoy herself & to allow your Holy Spirit to move freely in her life. i love her very much & know that You love her more. may her youth group experience be one that blesses her & builds her up. amen.

Two things:
1)bras are EVIL! :)
2)I'm sure that she'll have a great time at youth group. She's intelligent beyond her years and I'm sure she'll be careful in choosing friends.
