nanna the princess warrior

i've had my fair share of wrestling through the years. i wrestled in middle school & a little in high school. i also did some martial arts type-stuff. i've been tagged w/elbows, fists, heads, & knees many times.

i really enjoy wrestling w/the girls. wrestling has always been a big part of our nighttime activity & the girls have come to count on it. kayla's a really good wrestler, due to her body strength. she's not a fighter type, but if i was another girl, i definitely wouldn't want to wrestle her. sometimes, i don't want to wrestle her, because she's strong & bony (not a good combo for opponents). becca is more of the slower, less aggressive type & is of average strength. she approaches wrestling, as if i were a monkey bar or gymnastics piece of equipment. she's hard to shake-off, because she's incredibly flexible.

i have reserved a whole paragraph for nanna the princess warrior. when mindy was pregnant w/nanna, we prayed & considered a lot of names. through time- the name, breanna, was a recurring thought. after deciding to go w/it, i wondered what the meaning of her name was. breanna means: STRONG. at about 40 pounds, nanna packs the deadliest weapons. she's strong & fast. she is constantly moving & often growls when she's wrestling. needless to say, she's quite an aggressive go-getter. she's a formidable foe w/just the strength & speed, but she has one more weapon that is devastating. nanna the princess warrior (when she starts to get in trouble), will pinch, squeeze, & scratch w/her little "rat" nails. these nails are like razor blades. currently, i'm noticing that i have 9 wounds on my arms. i often have to tell her to lighten up, because it hurts pretty bad. she then tells me, "gotta do what i can to get you off me. that's what you get!" i seriously pity anyone who might try to fight w/nanna at school. don't get me wrong, she's not the type to go looking for fights, but if she's hit or picked on: game, set, & match to nanna the princess warrior.
