Yank it!

I'm having my farthest tooth on the top-left removed this morning at 1130. (Please don't ever remove beer bottle-caps with your teeth. Oh, the consequences of my youth. I basically took a jagged, metal device and sawed on my teeth with it. The effects have not been pretty). It has been infected and causing pain that I can't explain. In the midst of some mouth problems, I'm attempting to stay on schedule for running the Susanville Marathon on Oct. 8th. I'd appreciate your prayers concerning these matters. Thanks.

Love ya,
Jason Russell Bennett

So that was pretty weird seeing you at Dr. Muff's! What did he end up doing?

Oh, brother. I went in to my regular dentist to get my tooth pulled and she was only able to get down to the gum-line. She then told me that she couldn't help me any longer and needed to refer me to a oral surgeon. So, I drove across town, filled-out new paperwork, half-numbed face, to find out that they need to cut my gums open remove the roots and stitch my gums back up. I'm taking anti-biotics for the gum infection and pain meds. I feel pretty good right now. I'm surprised at how the pain meds make me feel wired/hyper. Now I just let it heal and hope that I can get back to my training.

That sounds horrible. I'll have to add "oral surgery" to my list of phrases that are scary.

I shall pray for you.

Thanks for the prayers- I appreciate it. I'm home, today, on pain meds with gauze in my mouth (I hate the feeling of gauze in my mouth). I'm feeling great. Please pray that the incision heal quickly/properly. Thanks.
