becca recently went through a 4.5 hour audition. the audition consisted of the usuals: singing, dancing, & reading. becca doesn't get nervous about doing those things- she actually gets excited & enjoys it. becca likes to write stories & likes to read them to me. sometimes she makes up a story, then creates a play (sometimes by herself & sometimes incorporating her sisters). she likes to perform them in the living room.
i'm excited for becca. seeing your kid do what they enjoy is sooooo good. she will be playing annette (a servant girl i think). has anyone out there been in this play? i haven't (& won't) tell her that watching annie makes me want to crawl under my chair. just my personal opinion. she'll never know. i love her & i'm happy for her. this comes @ a good time, just as gymnastics has ended in fallon.
mindy & kayla will be on the support crew- behind the scenes. me & nanna will be watching w/amazement & enthusiasm. :>)
if ya get a chance- ask becca about the play- she'll like that. :>)

I had an older sister who was able to control the television before I could, thus I was exposed (not in a positive way; think hippie exhibitionism) to such gems like "The Little House on the Prairie" and "Annie." Who has a Hindu guy for a bodyguard anyways? Daddy frickin' Warbucks, that's who.
Problem is, I still watch "Annie" if it's on TV just for the nostalgia. I'm like the hostage who falls in love with the kidnapper.
i've never seen annie. i would like to keep it that way. however, if one of my kids were to be in the play i would not be able to keep it that way. the price we pay . . .
I will definitely ask Becca about it. And I'm so happy to know kids who are creative! Yay! Let me know when/where the show is, and I'll see if I can't arrange to come see it! :)
all i can remember from catching parts of annie was that i thought the characters were a bit strange- i couldn't put my finger on it @ the time.
