what i like about brent judy

i remember when brent & i first got to know each other. it was @ old oak ranch, in sonora, ca. for men's camp. i had only seen him a few times @ church & he had started sitting right behind us. i'd do the hand-shaking thing during the service greeting & get awkward as i normally do. i noticed that brent was awkward, too, & tried to make some conversation. it didn't work very well, as we both kinda stood there w/ minimal eye contact waiting to feel comfortable.

there's just something special about red-heads. mindy can tell ya that many of my good friends in the past have had red hair. it's pretty trippy/ or not. okay, so back to the men's camp thingy. i had organized hillside's participation in the camp & part of organizing things was providing the guys w/ what rooms were available. i first asked the guys if they had rooming preferences, then assigned rooms from there. looking back it was a bit anal of me to do it that way. oh, well, live & learn.

i didn't know brent & i wanted to. so, i assigned him to my room. i got to know quite a bit about brent in our room @ all around the camp. we had a really good time. i noticed right away that brent was intelligent & creative. we talked about music (mostly) & our pasts. every now & then we'd go out back on the deck & have a smoke (newports, baby). i really wanted brent to feel accepted & part of the group.

this was the beginning of a close relationship. i look back & see how this time @ men's camp was the diving board, if you will, of our relationship. shortly after men's camp we started calling & e-mailing each other. i really enjoy bren'ts love for music & education. that's because i really value those things.

Everything you said about Brent is true, but you forgot to mention his love for Star Wars, esp. DV.

And of course, his love for Jesus.
