Running was GREAT, today!

Woke up this morning at 5:30 and was on the road at about 6. I had on my new shorts (shorter than my normal ones) and it felt great to feel air on my thighs. My last sentence sounded a bit fruity, but it's so true my friends.

I hadn't expected anything special about the day. I noticed early on though that I felt great and had an abnormal amount of energy & pep (I love that word). I don't know, maybe it was that I had a counseling session the day before (more freedom), new short-shorts, and possibly my cross-training/weight-lifting was finally paying off.

I think it was all the above and ran at 11:20 pr/mi. on 7:1 integrals. It was a blast and I finished feeling like I could do it again. What a great day for running. Hope your having days like this, too!

Love ya,
Jason

wow, counseling and short shorts give you extra pep? perhaps you will have to turn in your man card as well after that little blogging escapade. :)

Don't be ashamed to wear some daisy dukes when you're out running. I read a magazine article that said one's dedication to exercise can be measured by how short their shorts are.

...now just add the thong shirt (like the weightlifters wear)and you'll be running pretty...(by yourself)

Looks like I'll be a busy guy soon. I have to turn in my man-card, buy some daisy dukes, and slap on a singlet. Any other suggestions out there? I just pictured myself running in a singlet (remember wrestlers?): and it was a GREAT picture.

Matthew 7:16
You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You don't pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles.

A guy (man-card or not) needs a good day once in awhile, you know? Keep it going!

I'm glad that your run went well! How far did you go this week? Hope you have a great rest of the week!

i think we could all get matching singlets for the next big race. if that wouldn't bring people to the church, then what would?
