Got a root canal, yesterday. I'm really impressed how the technology has progressed in a couple of years. What used to be a dreaded procedure is now not all that bad. I'm taking Tylenol and Motrin for pain/inflammation and that's about it. The last time I had this done, I took narcotic pain killers and was told not to drive for two weeks. What about going to work and such? Anyway.....
I feel great and didn't even miss a beat on the running schedule. That's cool. I also think that going into the root canal, I decided that I would be positive and that it would go well. It did. There's much to be said about self-fulfilling prophecies, psychosomatic aspects, and speaking positivity/negativity over ourselves and/or our situations.
I'm grateful that such a "nasty" procedure has gone so well. It was a piece of cake.
Praise the Lord!
Jason

MMMM... Cake... Perhaps you should celebrate the power of positive attitude with a (small) piece of cake.
Personally, I'll take prophetic dentistry over psychosomatic dentistry any day . . .
personally, i'd like to use psychosomatic on a triple word score next time i play scrabble
