working my comb-over

i recently got tired of buzzing my head @ the #2 (1/4 inch) length. i envision hairstyles that would be cool to try or even repeat those hairstyles that i had back in the day (days when i had hair).

i don't care much for the "side" comb-overs (see post pic). so, i came up w/this idea a couple of years ago to grow my hair from the top/back (it's progressing back pretty quickly at that) & brush it forward; therefore, filling in the excessive forehead space. now if i just leave it brushed forward it look pretty dorky. so, to make it look kind of like it's my real hairdo, after brushing it forward, i then brush it to the side- forming a "swoosh" effect. so, just remember if you want to cover some major forehead space/ground, then try what i've recommended: forward, then swoosh.

special note to you young whipper-snappers: learn from me- be careful w/hair dies, mo-hawks, pompadours, & wearing baseball caps too much. remember that genetics plays a part so none of the aforementioned may apply or at least will speed the hair-loss process up.

peace-out, homies, & have a happy new year!

My dad used to work with someone who did the comb-over. I don't recommend it. Especially in windy Reno.

...i thought that "swoosh" on your head was a Nike tat...

I dare you to grow a comb-over. I think that you've got too much integrity, so forget the plain old dare; I'm stepping it up to a triple-dog dare.

See, I could see you shaving your head completely and getting some tattooed hair before I could see you sporting a combover

Tattooed hair! Now that would probably look better than a comb-over.

It's probably a painless location to receive a tattoo, as well.

I saw this guy in taco bell that sported the forward comb over, it just looked like he had 80's girl bangs. It was pretty gross.

i'm glad you're putting so much thought into this. let me know what works for you so i can use it in the 5 years or so i have left.

admittedly, i have never thought of getting a tatt up front & on the spot in the back- that's an awesome thought. now if i could just get that tatt to look 3 dimensional & look like it's more than flat against my head. i'm gonna have to check w/my buddy, jon mccann on this one. oh, yeah, i still think the swoosh is doable- if you plan on coming this sat. night, then give it a looksie.

...what are you charging to lift the hat?

this will be completely free, as the hat will not be worn.....
