Boy, I wanted to help find that puppy. It sounded easy. I ran home and told my parents about it. They said it's hard to find a lost dog because it runs around. I didn't believe them. I began to search. I looked in the park, mall ,museum, even at the market place. There was no sign of the dog. I guess my parents were right.
The next morning I woke up early to get a head start to find the dog. The first place I looked was the pound. When I got there all the dogs started to howl. As if they were saying, "Pick me". I turned my head left to right, but I didn't see a brown and white spotted puppy. I left feeling sorry for the puppy. If I could only find it. I never knew a dog could be so hard to find.
I gave up for the day and went home to watch some cartoons. Right as my favorite show came on I saw the puppy chasing the mailman. I jumped off the couch and started to chase the puppy. The puppy noticed that I was chasing it and ran into a dark hole. I was too big, so I went home.
It was almost a week the puppy had been missing. The puppy could of got attached by a bigger dog or bit by a spider in that hole! I got scared with all the thoughts. I went looking for the puppy at 4:00 A.M. I looked in the park no sign. But when I crossed the street I heard a whine. I stopped. It was coming from the drain. I looked in, it was the puppy!
I called the fire station. They were there in no time. In about five minutes there was a crowd of people. The firemen worked their hardest as the owner of the puppy arrived. She was happy and afraid at the same time. Everyone was still as they watched. Fianlly they go the puppy out! The owner was so happy so was the puppy. The puppy ran to her owner and gave her kisses.
i was happy to see them together. The owner thanked me and gave me a $5,000 check. I thanked her as she walked off with her dirty, little puppy.

that is awesome. i like the "dirty, little puppy" ending. quite unexpected. alos, it looks like you skipped the part where you gave your dad half the check for being such a great guy.

Now this was a very exciting story! Is it true? What did you do with the $5000? That owner must have really wanted the puppy back badly to pay that much money!!
