eating ice cream cones & the sacrifice therein

i really like ice cream. especially the ice cream that is in the cone part, because it gets mixed w/ the cone in each special bite.

my favorites are mint chocolate chip & rocky road. each ice cream serves a certain mood/craving & hits the proverbial target of taste satisfaction.

i have a physical disadvantage when it comes to eating/licking an ice cream cone. my nose is pointy/pointed/hooked & it usually hits the ice cream first. ice cream on my nose causes that sticky/wet/gooey sensation (you know the one) in me & i almost freeze in confusion. now the guys in my post pic don't seem to care that they're getting ice cream everywhere. for me, i get a bit nervous/anxious when i look @ them, because it causes discomfort in thinking on the possibility of having that much sticky ice cream all over me.

it's a sacrifice i'm willing to make. ice cream on my nose for a second, then rapidly wiped, then a few moments of lovely chewing, then back to my nose in the ice cream, & the cycle repeats. some might wonder why i don't just get a bowl or why i don't contort my head/face to the side & lick it w/ my face perpendicular to the ice cream cone, but there's only 1 way to eat an ice cream cone:

head on, nose first, & a straight approach!
