peet peeve # 4 (crud in the corners)

oh, man. in having the privilege of interacting w/ many people, there's a few things that catch my eye.

have you ever been talking w/ someone & they have "crud in the corners" of their mouth. there could be a million possibilities on what's in the corners, but it makes my stomach turn & then the fixation of my eyes to the "crud" begins. i don't hear what they say or notice what they're doing. it's me & the crud & it will remain that way until the crud is removed. i see people occasionally clean the corners of their mouths w/ their thumb & index fingers. these people are least conscious that crud accumulates in the corners. i give them credit for their efforts.

but then there's the "other" people. these people are oblivious that the crud is there. for all i know, the crud has been increasing since breakfast. food, coffee, soda, chewin' tobacco, they're all pretty obvious, but there's one substance that takes them all. you know what i'm talking about, right? SALIVA build-up usually forms in white clumpy formations & looks almost chunky. this white saliva build-up makes me want to hurl. these "other" people have no clue or are usually very forgetful & share their chunky white build-up w/ those around them.

if you've never checked the corners of your mouth for crud, then i'd like to make a recommendation: check the corners hourly, especially after you've eaten, drank, or drooled.
