one of my co-workers does something that peeves me & grosses me out. he takes a paperclip & straightens one end out. he uses this end to pick his ears. this paperclip is kept on his desk w/ visible crusty stuff on it. when he & i talk business, i can't seem to keep my eyes off the nasty paperclip (our desks are next to each other). if i'm really lucky, i get to see him picking his ear & hear him humming a song @ the same time. btw, he doesn't like it when i pick my nose w/ a small pair of scissors. just jokin'.... :>0 any other pet peeves out there?

that's so wierd! Someday, someone is going to scare him while he's doing that and he's going to poke his ear drum out. Stupid and gross.
I had a rommate once that was a complete slob. One time he left a dish with mayo on it underneath our bunk bed for over a month...when I got tired of the smell I found it under there and put it on his bed. Instead of washing it when he found it there he promptly transfered it to the dresser. Lazy slobs bother me.
My pet peeve is when people curb there dog on my lawn. Even when they pooper scooper it up (which is better than the alternative) I still think it rude.
frad- oh, man- the dirty dish thing is sooo gross. i hope your current roommates aren't slobs.
plucky- i hear ya on the dog poop thingy. i'm w/ you on that one. recently a neighbor let their little dogs out & let them have free roaming of the neibhborhood. lucky me, both of his dogs took poops in my yard, then they went home. arg!!!!
Ok so Jay I joined thebloggin community, I just couldn't keep quiet any longer.
Anyway my worst pet-peeve is when people smack when eating thier food. IIIIIkaaarrrrammmbaaa!!! This drives me crazy. Especially if that is the only noise in the room.
The story you shared though is really bothersome. FOR one OUCH, and for two hasn't he ever heard of a q-tip. IF your comp.has x-mas parties buy him a box!!

i hear ya on the "loud food smackers"! that one gets under my skin, too.
Okay, so when I worked graveyard at the downtown Kinko's, there was a night when this couple came in with their child, probably no more than two years old. While they were making copies, they COMPLETELY ignored their child. She went outside a couple of times when the door opened, only to have other incredibly kind people bring her back in. She also chewed up a greeting card. When they got ready to leave, it took them five minutes to find her, because she had climbed inside of a cabinet and shut the door. Then they hid the greeting card she had chewed on back in the rack. (This part was witnessed by our cleaning guy.) I guess what I'm trying to say is, my pet peeve is people who have children but don't really want them and therefore neglect them...
my biggest pet peeve is when jay talks crap about my paperclip without talking to me first.
that and people who take three year-olds to movies like constatntine and let them talk the whole time. that pisses me off on several levels.
