I didn't really have any plans to watch the Super Bowl this year. I thought I might catch some plays, go running, and take a nap.
Kayla had other plans. On our way home on Sunday, she initiated plans to watch the Super Bowl with me. She never watches football or sports.
She talked quite a bit about the Super Bowl commercials being interesting from talk in her class at school.
I did a 30 mt. run to shake-out my legs from my long-run from the day before and started watching the Super Bowl at about 3:45. Kayla intently watched every play, asked questions, and thoroughly enjoyed the commercials-- I had to explain a few.
This Super Bowl was the best ever. My oldest daughter wanted to love on me and have special time with me. I had a great time with her-- great bonding. That is totally awesome!!!
Kayla liked how Prince played the guitar-- also, thought he looked and acted like a girl. :) I should have told her it's because he's been partying like it's 1999 since the '80s.

Next you should show her a video of Little Richard so she can see Prince's fashion inspiration.
First off, Georgia, shut up! (said in my best Little Richard voice).
Also, partying like it is 1999 is obsolete partying.
Glad you had a good Sunday, J.
prince is an animal on the git-fiddle. that is one of the reasons that i have to consistently rank him as one of the better musicians of the 80's. i was really irritated that he did so many covers. seriously, you have one of the hugest pop music libraries of anyone and you have to do other people's songs at the superbowl?
I can totally see Little Richard's influence on Prince's fashion. I thought a Foo Fighters cover was a bit of a stretch. Is it possible that Prince wrote the song?
i suppose it's possible and pretty easy to look up on the internet if i wasn't so lazy, but it's not possible that he wrote "proud mary" or "all along the watchtower", so it was still a bad set any way you look at it.
Hey brint...i hear that Peyton wanted to hear Proud Mary...so Prince played it...that simple.
I live in Houston and was cheering for the Colts since they are in our division. I also enjoyed reading the other parts of your blog. If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a Running Blog Database on there and would love to have your blog linked it. If you want to read a really great inspirational story about an event I witnessed at the 2000 Boston Marathon, please read The Greatest Marathoner. I also have my own blog, but most of my information is on the main web site. Thanks and continued good luck in your training.
Thanks for stopping by, Robert. Please feel free to comment, if you like. I checked out the marathon story you recommended-- very inspirational-- to think that I tend to whine about schedule restraints. :>) I'll check out your blog database and see what's up. Talk to you later.-- Jason
den, that actually makes it worse. taking requests from peyton is simply inexcusable.
