109, baby!!!

In 2000, I was told by my nutrionist that with my cholesterol levels averaging 300, I needed to make some changes: Cut out transfatties, eat more more veggies, and become a marathon runner (seriously). I gaffed her off for 5 years. In the Summer of '05, I started to throw around an idea to run a marathon. I asked Dennis if he wanted to do one. :>) I didn't know that he had run marathons before, so it was probably an unusual request to be asked out of the blue. The rest is history.

When I started running, I stopped smoking at the same time. I'd had enough of the morning coughing and general feeling of crapiness. I weighed 230 lbs. and was in dire need of lung regeneration.

To the point: I talked to my doctor, today, and she said my cholesterol has gone from 300 to 109. I dropped 191 points in 1 yr. and 8 mos. I also went from 230 lbs. to 194 lbs. Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus! I look forward to my health improving even more. This is a major benchmark for me. My dad and his dad, both had heart-attacks at 40(quadruple bypass)/42(double bypass). I am 36 and this recent news is very good for me. I'm beginning to see the breaking of generational curses and it makes me very happy.

This is one more healing event that has solidified my view on a part of healing: Yes, Jesus can heal on the spot, no more problem, totally healed. Often though, I see Him healing me/other people through a process of practical/wise steps. I've often thought of health or relational problems needing external fixing, but often the solution is simple steps of obedience on logical insights from the Lord (brain, Bible, etc...).

I'm very happy!!! Thought I'd share.

Special thanks to Mindy, my ladies, and my friends Dennis and Georgia. I love you guys.

Jason
