....are kinda strange. When I travel, I truly enjoy "people watching." Most of the time, I observe an older person drinking a cup of coffee while eating their burger/or main meal.
What happens to us and why-- when we start mixing coffee with burgers??

my husband will drive through starbucks, and then jack in the box and eat his jumbo jack with his coffee. I always thought he was strange... now I know he is just getting old. Thanks for the clarification.
i have always hypothesized that the hot liquid is like a denture adhesive check. if your teeth don't fall into your coffee, they're on good enough to try to eat solid food.

I think that coffee has something to do with keeping them awake when they aren't all hopped up on stool softeners.
people watching is my all time favorite thing to do ever. old people are so great, i say that because i soon will be one. no, seriously they are some of best material for people watching, right up there with kids who don't know you are watching them.
I think it's that kids don't know and old people don't care. by the time i'm 80, i know i won't give a crap what some young whipper snapper thinks of my coffee habit.
by the way, i may be working with old people...very soon. maybe if i get the chance i will ask them about the coffee and food.
