Dear Device Addicts
please refrain from asking someone a question or starting a conversation, just to let your cell/blackberry/iphone ring or txt message received and attend to that or walk away and attend to that. live in the moment you find yourself. the person you're now talking to is your priority-- not the person calling or texting while you're talking to the person in front of you. also, if you invite a person to hang-out with you doing whatever-- try to be present/there with them and hold-back the compulsion to answer e-mails and phone calls from people not with you.

I hear that.
Amen Brother Jay . . . I'm proud to say I'm a notorious phone ignorer . . . If God didn't want us to live in the moment he wouldn't have created voicemail . . .
I am also a phone ignorer. I usually turn my phone on silent when I'm out with someone. That way I can see who called, but my phone ringing doesn't interrupt anything. This apparently bothers some people, but they'll get over it...
Double Amen! What has happened to common courtesy? Of course, there are always exceptions, but honestly, have ever heard someone on their cell phone saying "Now, to make the bleeding slow down you need to make a tourniquet..."
my children think i have a problem because i never answer my phone on time or in thier timely manor. i love to do this. truly, it is something that just makes me giggle inside.
sounds like someone offended you with this recently:)))
hope it wasn't me... i am a great "multi-tasker".
just kidding. i give my husband the evil eye every time he answers his phone during dinner.
fyi... i was visiting with your wife this weekend, and you called her cell and interrupted our conversation. just thought you should know.hahaha;)
